As reported cases of the coronavirus continues to increase throughout North America impacting many regions we have customers, I wanted to take the time to provide a brief update on what DIRAK, Inc. is doing to manage the current situation.
First and foremost, the well-being of our employees, community, and customers is our top priority. While this of course relates to everyone’s physical health, we must also consider the economic situation we are all facing as organizations and individuals.
Currently, we are fortunate to say none of our employees have been directly impacted by COVID-19, and our operations are still running at 100% capacity. Globally, we have cancelled all work-related travel, shifted many employees to work remotely, and are working hard to increase the number of employees who have that option. For employees that must be on-site to complete their work, we have provided all the necessary supplies for them to complete their job in a safe manner and limit any potential spread of contagions. Additionally, our manufacturing facility in China was one of the first businesses in their region to return to work several weeks ago. They are fully operational, as are our other manufacturing sites and partners around the world.
Barring any “shelter in place” or similar restriction to our facility (currently considered to be an 'essential business') and surrounding area in Sterling, Virginia, we plan to remain fully operational throughout the foreseeable future in order to support your business needs. Although we have experienced some delays in global supply shipments due to continued uncertainty with airlines and ports of entry, most shipments are proceeding. As many of you have come to expect, our customer service team will continue to proactively reach out to you with any potential impacts they may see regarding your specific orders/shipments.
