“DIRAK has outperformed its competitors in terms of overall service.”
Purcell Systems, Inc.
Purcell Systems was founded in 2000 in Spokane, WA, with an international counterpart in Stockholm, Sweden. In 2013, Purcell Systems was acquired by EnerSys, a world leader in industrial battery manufacturing headquartered in Reading, PA. Purcell designs and manufactures innovative, industry-leading, thermally managed, modular outdoor electronic equipment enclosure solutions, and provides system level solutions to a variety of global customers in the Telecom, Cable/MSO, Energy/Utility, Land Mobile Radio, Transportation, and U.S. Government/Military sectors.
The free spinning padlock pin on the DIRAK swinghandle provides increased vandal resistance versus a traditional fixed pin which is prone to easy breakage with tools such as a screw driver. The self-locking cylinder allows the operator to push the handle closed without requiring a key to activate the tumbler, saving the end-user time and hassle.
DIRAK won this business through a combination of modularity in product design that allowed them to create the exact part Purcell wanted, competitive pricing, excellent support, stocking agreements, and a strong relationship with the customer. DIRAK has received Purcell‘s Gold Supplier Award for the past two years running, with their buyer stating, “DIRAK has outperformed its competitors in terms of overall service.”
